VB@H Live Sessions | Session 2 | THE BARRYS
Welcome, brothers and sisters, as our new series of VB@H Live Sessions continues with those drunk-folk, acoustic-punk chaos creators, The Barrys. Highlighting the importance of grassroots live music, while showcasing a different side of all our favourite artists, every second Friday of each month we’ll be bringing you some you’ll know and love and some you’ll soon fall for. So make sure you subscribe to never miss a beat. We welcome to VB@H HQ, The Castle in Luton, Liam Burke and Mary Wilcockson, half of the Bedford-based band The Barrys, who released their Gutters and Skylines single on the Vandalism Begins at Home Records label back in 2022, and have graced the venue many times with their riotous rebel-rousing and brilliant bedlam. In this more intimate setting, singer and guitarist Liam unveils his poetic prowess for social commentary which paints a relatable, yet unique picture of the strife of which we call everyday life. Hear Liam and Mary play a three-song stripped back set of unreleased live favourites:
These Times
Down
When I'm Old
This VB@H Live Session is the only place (for now) to hear these exclusive tracks, which are interspersed with a chat with Liam and VB@H co-founder Ben Barry, so you can get to know a little more about The Barrys.
